Zoo

Although I did not put any pics of animals in this (I assume most of you have seen tigers, elephants and strange looking monkeys at least ONCE in your lives) I DID put pics of some pretty cute girls enjoying the afternoon with Mama and Papa at the Hogle Zoo. The Martushevs are Lovin Summer. Could a kid BE any more happy waiting for her sister to have her turn on the Carousel?
Artyom did such a great job at catching these candid shots each time we went around. Sofia got to pick her own animal to sit on and the Polar Bear it was!
Ella was not too sure about the little train at first...She got used to it quick.
Sofia on the other hand, barely looked at me as there were FAR too many other interesting things to see.

Day at the Museum

After seeing this pic. It FLOORED me how small Sofia was compared to this big "fish". Man.

We have a new family goal this Summer to have a bi-monthly activity with the girls. This particular stormy Saturday, we decided an indoor activity would be best, so we headed to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. I have not been to a Dinosaur Museum in a LONG time. It was grrreat! Especially seeing how HUGE these dinosaur bones were. THe girls had a great time.

Even Mom got in on the action. This was a cave or sorts. When I went in I was a tour guide of sorts. All the kids in the cave hovered around me and I led them through. It was pretty cute!
Check out Ella next to one of thier feet!

Bare minimum

Sofia was starting to potty train and she could not seem to get the undies off fast enough. SO in the comfort of her own home, she made it easier on herself. Well Sof likes to help me with dinner and when I requested she put some clothes on to help, this is what she came up with- the bare minimum. Well. Ok! Let's get to it sweet cheeks!

When sisters are given a marker...

THE CULPRIT

THE CANVAS
Ok. I must interject that I did not GIVE her a marker, she found a marker in the couch and since her sister Ella was next to her and there was not a coloring book near by- well Ella (or Ella's head rather) was her canvas.

She didnt seem to mind though....Ella my love, you will have your time. Hopefully soon there will be another smaller person (or person's head) for you to create your masterpiece on.

Getting there...

I really am! I was all ready to post pics and funny, creative (ok. well that is in the eye of the beholder...) stories and I discovered that my Artyom took the camera with all the cute pics to Scout Camp with him RATS! So I had to wait and then what happened?! What always happens. LIFE. Took over. And here I am. Just wanted to check in...I am getting there. I know the deadline is fast approaching where you will all be waiting on pins and needles for the first few posts to behold.

They are coming...

In the words of Arnold-

You guessed it! Say it with me now,

Ill be back.

Blog dumping at its best...

So for whatever reason I cannot seem to find...no scratch that. MAKE the time to post on my blog. I love to read friends and family's happenings, but I have slacked big time in posting on ours. So here goes.

Starting in July- I have to give myself a week or so headstart. I will post something at least once a week to get caught up. It will be a blog vomiting of sorts, but it is all I can do to be accountable to update others on what is happening with our fam. If you are so inclined to check it, and I have not posted....call me out on it. I really want to do better at this.

So. Stay tuned. There might even be one in the next day or so to get me all ramped up to go!
