The late hour...

As I type this I am running on empty from a very long day beginning at 6AM when I had to be at work meeting by 7 in downtown SLC. It was then off to run a few errands before I got home to watch Artyom run out the door and go work. I took the girls and ran to a few yard sales I saw on my way home from the 7AM downtown meeting, trying to get the coveted toddler booster seat that was snatched a mere 5 minutes before I got back. (insert sad face.)

Following the usual Saturday activities when I am not at the 2nd job, we cleaned, played and watched part of "Enchanted"-the movie of choice at the moment. Lunch and then naps. Fast forward 2 hours...Needless to say I was a bit disappointed when both The Wood Connection Craft Store closes early on Sat. AND the other craft stores did not have what I needed. This is all after I had thrown the girls into the car to try and make it before they shut the doors. (for those who don't know, I am on a craft KICK. Ill post some of my "I MADE THIS!" items soon. This 3rd jaunt of the day was directly after thier nap and before dinner...NOT a good time for the girls. HAPPY HOUR as we like to call it at our house.

Finally 6:45 came around and my dearest Red Flame walked through the door, snatched up Sofia to swing for the last few moments of warmth that we have left this evening and announced that we were going out...THIS was the last thing on my mind. He even tried (unsuccessfully) to find a sitter for the girls. So were all going on a family date. Together. Girls and all. And I am going to love every minute.

Cause even at the late hour, my Red Flame knew exactly what I needed and why. Just one of the reasons I love him so.

Little Rascals

Sofia has a BFF (best friend forever) that came over last night. We were a bit tardy to thier arrival and Luke knew it. He kept on asking his parents before we got to the house, "Where is my Fia?!" When the two finally were reunited, the camera was present and Luke's mom (thanks Alla!) was able to catch this precious moment between the two little rascals.
